Sergio is a paralegal specialized in Intellectual Property and International Trade. He is currently studying a law degree at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).

Sergio has participated in the 18th edition of the John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition on WTO Law. He is a member of Mexico’s Supreme Court of Justice Academic Excellency Program and is currently competing in the UP-ICC Moot on international arbitration law.

His practice is currently focused on the study of different legal frameworks in the field of Intellectual Property, to ensure a balance between Appellations of Origin, Geographical Indications, and generic names. He is also focused on the interpretation and application of international trade commitments under international agreements.

Before starting his practice at Dorantes Advisors, Sergio worked as an Industrial Property intern in an office with international, where he studied, analyzed, and monitored trademark registration processes, both nationally and internationally.
