Alfredo was born in Saltillo, Coahuila. He is a graduate of the Escuela Libre de Derecho. He has professional studies in International Relations at the Universidad del Valle de México, and Business Administration at Walden University.

He specializes in regulatory law and international trade. He has experience in dispute settlement proceedings before the World Trade Organization, in the analysis and interpretation of free trade agreements, as well as in parliamentary law and constitutional procedural law.

Prior to joining Dorantes Advisors, Alfredo worked at the Undersecretariat for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs, at the General Legal Directorate of the Secretariat of Culture, as well in the Committee of Governance, Constitutional Affairs and Justice of the Congress of the State of Coahuila de Zaragoza.

He has taken courses in legal English and litigation strategies in the criminal justice system.

Alfredo works comfortably in Spanish (mother tongue) and English.
