I. PRIVACY NOTICE FOR THE WEBSITE

1. Data Controller

1.1. Dorantes Advisors S.C. (Dorantes Advisors)with address for receiving notices at BLVD. MIGUEL DE CERVANTES SAAVEDRA 169, GRANADA, MIGUEL HIDALGO, C.P. 11520, Piso 10, CDMXas stated in this Privacy Notice, is responsible for the processing of personal data collected from its clients, prospective clients, and any other individuals interested in receiving information about its legal services, in accordance with the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP), published in the Diario Oficial de la Federación (DOF) on March 20, 2025, and its applicable Regulations. 

2. Personal Data Collected and Purposes of Processing

2.1 To fulfill its corporate purpose, including providing professional legal advisory services, Dorantes Advisors will collect the following information from its clients, prospective clients, and individuals requesting quotes or any other type of legal information that  Dorantes  Advisorsmay provide: full name; age; address; personal telephone number and email address; business telephone number and email address; and tax information for billing and collection purposes, such as Tax Status Certificate, banking information, and compliance opinions issued by the Tax Administration Service (SAT). We also inform you that we will not use any sensitive personal data requiring special protection. 

2.2 The personal data collected by Dorantes Advisors will be used for the essential purposes listed below: 

i. Provide information to prospective clients and other requestors to identify a specific issue. 

ii. Send and follow up on proposals for legal advisory services in the practices developed by Dorantes Advisors; 

iii. Provide clients with professional legal representation services. 

iv. Provide timely information about the status and progress of matters handled on their behalf. 

v. Invoice for the services requested by our clients. 

vi. Share information about our services, events, and materials published on our website and social media. 

vii. Contact clients through communication channels managed by Dorantes Advisors; 

viii. Any service or communication derived from or analogous to the activities described above.

 

2.3 Dorantes Advisors will limit its use of personal data to the purposes described in Section 2.2 of this Notice. Should Dorantes Advisors require processing the personal data for any purpose not described above, it will request the data subject’s consent again.

3. Confidentiality

3.1 Dorantes Advisors acknowledges that all information accessed, disclosed, or delivered to clients, prospective clients, or individuals requesting information is confidential. 3.2 The confidentiality obligations assumed by Dorantes Advisors will survive the termination of its relationship with the data subject and regarding any confidential information and documents.

4. Transfer of Personal Data

4.1 We inform you that personal data shared with Dorantes Advisors will not be transferred to persons, entities, or organizations outside Dorantes Advisors, except where necessary to complement the legal services contracted. This includes services external to Dorantes Advisors, such as expert opinions, mediation, arbitration, or any other specific service needed to provide better service to the client. In such cases, Dorantes Advisors will inform the client so that they may approve the transfer of personal data, if applicable.

4.2 If Dorantes Advisors must transfer personal data to third parties, whether with or without express acceptance, it will ensure that such transfer is carried out in accordance with the procedure established in Articles 35 and 36 of the LFPDPPP.

4.3 Dorantes Advisors will not disclose any personal information to third parties attempting to sell products or services to its clients.

5. Use of Images

5.1 Dorantes Advisors may capture and use the image—comprising photographs, voice recordings, videos, or other audiovisual media—of individuals attending events organized by or in collaboration with Dorantes Advisors. Images captured at such events, as well as those voluntarily shared by individuals interacting with our social media, may be used for informational and journalistic purposes to document and disseminate activities. This material may also be used for advertising, promotional, or institutional purposes through print media, digital platforms, social media, the official website, or other communication channels. This authorization is granted free of charge, for an indefinite period, and for use in any territory.

5.2 Dorantes Advisors may use, print, reproduce, and publish such image(s) in print or electronic media, newsletters, annual reports, and publications, in all formats, interpretations, editions, phonograms or videograms, and broadcasts, solely for informational and journalistic purposes in accordance with the third paragraph of Article 87 of the Federal Copyright Law.

5.3 Dorantes Advisors may include your trade name and/or logo as a reference in corporate materials, including but not limited to the “Our Clients” section of the website (www.dorantesadvisors.com). It may also provide a general and non-confidential description of services rendered to the Client—without disclosing technical, strategic, or sensitive information—to illustrate its experience and professional capabilities. This authorization does not imply any commercial association, sponsorship, or formal endorsement.

6. Purpose of the Use of Personal Data and Processing of Information

6.1 Personal data obtained from clients, prospective clients, or individuals requesting information will be used for purposes related to the provision of legal services, as previously agreed upon and described in the applicable Services Agreement.

6.2 Dorantes Advisors may use your personal data for secondary purposes directly related to its corporate purpose, which include:

i. Sending updates on national legal frameworks published in the Diario Oficial de la Federación, the Digital Transformation and Telecommunications Agency (ATDT) Portal, and relevant notifications from World Trade Organization Committees.  

ii. Sending updates and initiatives published in the Senate Gazette and the Parliamentary Gazette of the Chamber of Deputies. 

iii. Sending notifications regarding agreements or information relating to Intellectual Property, Regulatory Law, and Foreign Trade practices. 

iv. Sending newsletters, infographics, seminar promotions, or other materials related to the legal services provided by Dorantes Advisors.

6.3 If you wish to limit the use or disclosure of your personal data for the purposes described above, you may send an email to contacto@dorantesadvisors.com indicating that you do not wish to receive such notifications.

6.4 Refusal to allow your personal data to be used for these secondary purposes will not affect the provision of previously agreed legal services.

7. Procedure for Exercising Rights of Access, Rectification, Cancellation, and Opposition (ARCO)

7.1 To exercise your rights of Access, Rectification, Cancellation, and Opposition (ARCO), as well as to revoke your consent, follow this procedure: 

i. Send an email to contacto@dorantesadvisors.com, with copy to fortiz@dorantesadvisors.com and ymartinez@dorantesadvisors.com, stating your full name, your legal or commercial relationship with Dorantes Advisors (client, prospective client, website user, social media user, etc.), and the specific right you wish to exercise.

ii. Indicate precisely which data you wish to access, rectify, cancel, oppose, or revoke consent for. 

iii. For rectification requests, specify the modification needed and attach supporting documentation. 

Upon receiving your request, you will receive an acknowledgment confirming that your request will be processed. You will receive a response via email within twenty business days from the date of acknowledgment. 

7.2 If you believe your right to personal data protection has been violated by any action or omission of Dorantes Advisors or suspect a breach of the LFPDPPP, its Regulations, or other applicable provisions, you may file a complaint with the Secretariat for Anti-corruption and Good Governance. Grounds for Denial

8.1. ARCO rights may be denied under the following circumstances:  

    • When the data subject or legal representative is not properly accredited. 
    • When the personal data is not held by the data controller. 
    • When the data may infringe the rights of a third party. 
    • When legal impediments or competent authority orders restrict access, rectification, cancellation, or opposition. 
    • When rectification, cancellation, or opposition has previously been carried out. 

8.2In all such cases, the data controller will inform the data subject or legal representative of the decision and the reasons for it within the established deadlines, using the same means through which the ARCO request was submitted, and will include supporting evidence where applicable. 

9. Modifications to the Privacy Notice

9.1 This Privacy Notice is effective as of June 1, 2025; however, Dorantes Advisors reserves the right to modify or update it due to new legal requirements, internal privacy practices, services offered, or changes to its business model, among other reasons.
